With the Echo News app, you can receive the latest news from your desired region, Germany, and the world directly on your smartphone. This way, you always know what's happening in your home country and the world - whether in business, politics, or sport.

Functionality and content:
+ More regionality: The latest news from your desired region - now with even more choice in the "Local News" section.
+ Multiple selection: In the sections with a drop-down menu, you can select multiple items of content in parallel, e.g. reports from Mainz 05 and SV Darmstadt 98.
+ Practical navigation that enables quick and easy navigation to relevant pages in the app (e.g. to the home page, watch list, or other content elements such as podcasts, videos, or thematic focuses).
+ Font size function: The font size can be adjusted at any time both within the article (via the icon in the top right) and via the "Change font size" menu settings.
+ Push notifications: Always stay up to date and subscribe to your favorite topics as a push channel. After the update, please check the settings for the push topic areas (top right in the menu > Settings > Push notifications). Behind the bell is an inbox that collects all new push notifications for you.
+ Watchlist: Save articles for later and read them when you have time and peace.
+ News widget: Load the news widget onto the home screen of your smartphone. This way you stay informed without having to open the app and can jump straight to articles that you want to find out more about.
+ National news from the areas of sport, my top club, politics, business and culture.

Easy to use:
+ When you start the app for the first time, select your desired region. The content of the app adapts automatically.
+ In the second step, you will be asked for your desired push channels. You will later receive messages for the categories you have selected directly on your device.
+ You can change the region and push channels at any time using the Settings menu item.
